Washington wildfires destroy homes

More than one hundred homes destroyed in the raging wildfires in Central Washington state. Linda So reports.

Smoke so thick it's blinding. Flames so intense, the trail of destruction utterly devastating. Hundreds of homes have been destroyed in raging wildfires that have already engulfed hundreds of thousands of acres in Central Washington state. Helpless homeowners could only watch and wait. SOUNDBITE: JOSH ALLEN, EVACUEE, SAYING: "The hardest thing I ever had to do. Knowing that your house is burning up." The fast-moving wildfires fueled by strong winds and dry conditions have destroyed more than one hundred homes. SOUNDBITE: DAVID BROWNLEE, HOME DESTROYED, SAYING: "This was our house and you're looking at what's left of it." David Brownlee was only able to escape with the clothes on his back. SOUNDBITE: DAVID BROWNLEE, HOME DESTROYED, SAYING: "And we took off and went downtown and watched the house burn... pretty sad, and it just exploded. I saw the front of the house catch fire and just poof, just gone." So far, no major injuries have been reported from the wildfires.
