Explosions light up the sky in Gaza, as tanks and troops move in.
Here Israeli forces can be seen pounding Palestinian targets with missiles and flares.
Residents in the Gaza Strip say this is the heaviest land and naval shelling in the past 13 days of fighting.
Israel started its ground offensive against Hamas militants on Thursday after air and naval barrages failed to stop Palestinian rocket fire.
Homes and work places have been destroyed and people displaced.
The fighting has also taken a heavy toll on civilian lives.

"We are residents sleeping at home, we are at home, civilians. We are not pro-Hamas or pro-Fatah or even pro-Israel, we are poor people sleeping at home with children, women and old people. All the shells were randomly fired and at least each house got 10 shells, more than 1000 shells were fired at Shejaia."
Seven Israelis have died in the fighting, on the other side 345 Palestinians have been killed. Many of them children.
A parent arrives at a hospital in Gaza with a wounded baby.
