Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says the offensive against Gaza -- which began two weeks ago -- will go on as long as necessary. (SOUNDBITE) (Hebrew) ISRAELI PRIME MINISTER, BENJAMIN NETANYAHU, SAYING: "Israel did not choose to enter this campaign, but from the moment it was forced on us we will implement it until we achieve its result - restoring quiet for the Israeli people for an extended period while significantly damaging Hamas infrastructures and the rest of the terror organizations in Gaza. We are undeterred. We shall continue the operation as long as is required." Netanyahu also responded to a question about Turkish Prime Minister Tayyip Erdogan's comparison of Israel to the Nazis. On Saturday, Erdogan said that Israel had "surpassed Hitler in barbarism through its attacks on the Palestinian territory." Netanyahu said the remarks had an "anti-Semitic tone". (SOUNDBITE) (Hebrew) ISRAELI PRIME MINISTER, BENJAMIN NETANYAHU, SAYING: "And apparently the prime minister of Turkey does not distinguish between a murderous terror organization which aspires to destroy the Jewish state and the democratic state of Israel which uses legitimate resources of self defense to try and hit those who fire missiles at us. I think this distinction is clear to most of the world's leaders. This is more appropriate for rhetoric you would hear from Tehran or al-Qaeda." On Sunday, Israel released fresh footage of troops entering Gaza and blowing up tunnels. That same day, more than 60 Palestinians and 13 Israeli soldiers were killed as Israel shelled a Gaza neighborhood and battled militants.
