From his first appearance before the cameras, Britain's Prince George took center stage and never quite left. Born July 22, Prince George was carried out from St. Mary's Hospital in central London by his parents to meet a frenzy of press when he was just one day old. (SOUNDBITE) (English) DUKE OF CAMBRIDGE SAYING: "Very emotional." (SOUNDBITE) (English) DUCHESS OF CAMBRIDGE SAYING: "Yes, it's very emotional, it is such a special time. I think any parent will, sort of, know what this feeling feels like." (SOUNDBITE) (English) DUKE OF CAMBRIDGE SAYING: "Very special." Prince William and Kate released their son's first, official photo one month later. When Prince George was three months old, he was christened in a private, low-key service inside St. James's Palace. In April, the royal couple and their eight-month-old son arrived in New Zealand to begin a 10-day tour of that country. Prince George crawled around with other babies and then had some social time with his mother, Kate, holding him. On to Australia, where Prince George performed his first official duty on a visit to Taronga Zoo in Sydney. He helped unveil a plaque for the Prince George Bilby Exhibit. But it was a real bilby that appeared to fascinate the Prince. A still photo, taken at London's Natural History Museum, was recently released a few days before Prince George's first birthday.
