Shia LaBeouf made a brief appearance in Manhattan Criminal Court. The actor was on hand to face charges of disorderly conduct and harassment after disturbing a performance of a Broadway show in June. Dressed in a dark suit and tie, the actor was silent during the brief hearing. A judge adjourned the case until September.
The line-up for this year's Venice Film Festival has been announced. The fest will kick off with a screening of "Birdman," starring Michael Keaton as a washed-up actor who tries to reclaim his past glory by starring in Broadway play. The film will premiere in Venice on August 27 and will be one of 55 films to screen at the competition.
Comic-Con fans got a special treat as DC Entreatment unveiled part of the costume that Ben Affleck will wear in "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice." Batman's cape and cowl were unveiled at the San Diego convention center, which is hosting the annual event. While its plot has not been revealed yet, the film is slated for a May 2016 release.
Fans of the erotic novel "Fifty Shades of Grey" got their first look at the upcoming big screen adaptation on Thursday (July 24). Universal Pictures released an official trailer for the hotly anticipated film, which stars Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan and is set to open just in time for Valentine's Day, on February 13, 2015.
