(WARNING: GRAPHIC CONTENT) Syrian government air strikes obliterate several buildings in Aleppo, killing scores of civilians and giving the country's largest city the appearance of a ghost town. Deborah Gembara reports.

Debris, where a building once stood in Aleppo after a series of government air strikes.
Another part of the city is eerily empty except for this injured man, according to this video posted to a social media website whose content Reuters cannot independently verify.
Locals search for survivors amid the rubble and mangled steel --- with little luck.
With few injured to tend to, this ambulance is used to transporting the dead.
The attacks weren't limited to Syria's second largest city --- there were reports of shelling in Deir al-Zoir and barrel bombs unleashed dust clouds in Daraa.
