The investigation continued on Friday into the shooting at a Pennsylvania clinic that left one person dead and the suspect wounded. Police now say they have a better picture of what happened. They say 49-year-old Richard Plotts, a psychiatric patient at Mercy Wellness Center in Darby, walked in for a doctor's appointment around 2 pm on Thursday accompanied by his case worker. Witnesses describe what happened next. SOUNDBITE: WITNESS SAYING: "A few minutes went by and then they did hear multiple shots fired." Plotts allegedly pulled a gun during a heated argument. That's when the doctor, Lee Silverman, pulled out his own gun. Both men fired and all three people in the room -- Plotts, Dr. Silverman and the caseworker -- were hit. SOUNDBITE: ANOTHER WITNESS SAYING: "Chaos and panic because everybody was running and ducking for cover." 53-year-old caseworker Theresa Hunt was killed. Plotts was hit in the chest and torso three times and Dr. Silverman was grazed. That's when fellow doctors were able to intervene. SOUNDBITE: WITNESS SAYING: "Together we were able to disarm him and take the weapon away. In the meantime police did arrive and we continued to subdue him and then render medical aid." Plotts was taken to a hospital in critical condition. Dr. Silverman was treated and released. It's unclear why the doctor was armed while at the hospital. He's being questioned by police. It also wasn't immediately clear who fired that fatal shot that killed Hunt. The shooting is under investigation.
