Another deadly weekend in Chicago.
A young boy is dead and at least 13 others wounded -- including a toddler -- in multiple shootings across the city since Friday evening.
The fatal shooting happened around 6 pm.
Thirteen-year-old Sam Walker was killed and five others wounded when a car pulled up to a group of teens and opened fire.
SOUNDBITE: Maribell Ruiz, VICTIM'S AUNT, SAYING:
"Very studious young man, very smart. Senseless act of violence that occurred today, that he did not deserve to die at a young age of 13 which he was going to celebrate his 14th birthday next month."
Less than five hours later, another shooting on the Southwest Side of Chicago leaves a three-year-old boy in critical condition.
He was shot in the stomach and hip and is recovering after surgery.
Local media say at least five other people have been shot across the city since just 6 p.m. Friday.
