The 1,500 pound bulls barrel down at 30 miles an hour. The idea is to run along the sides. The bulls are predictable, they run straight down the middle. But sometimes... ...the runners forget. SOUNDBITE: JASON PERKINS, FRIEND OF INJURED RUNNER, SAYING: "It just shows you how dangerous it can be." Jason Perkins' friend was sent to the hospital but Jason says he'll be OK. Still, it was a tough thing for his 13-year-old to see. SOUNDBITE: JASON PERKINS, FRIEND OF INJURED RUNNER, SAYING: "She's a little upset, but she understands the danger that comes along with it." SOUNDBITE: MADISON PERKINS, DAUGHTER, SAYING: "I just didn't want him to get hurt because he's a really good family friend… (wipes her tears) Organizers say no one's ever DIED in the run. The worst injury was a broken pelvis. SOUNDBITE: ROB DICKENS, THE GREAT BULL RUN, SAYING: "It's the danger that draws people to the event. They want to test themselves to see how they react. Outside the fairgrounds, animal rights activists protested the run. They say it's stressful on the bulls. Stressful, too, sometimes, for the humans trying to get out of their way. (BULLS RUNNING)
