The 2014 Young Hollywood Awards were handed out in Los Angeles on Sunday (July 27) and Justin Bieber received the Champ of Charity Award, honoring the more than 200 wishes he has granted for the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Bieber took a young Make-A-Wish girl named Grace as his date to the show and even brought her onstage as he accepted his award.
One Direction member Zayn Malik has caused a stir. The singer posted "#FreePalestine" on his Twitter page, which was then retweeted more than 160,000 times by his 13 million followers. The post garnered a slew of negative comments - many from his fans in Israel.
"Lucy" collected 44 million dollars in ticket sales at the North American box office, making it the weekend's biggest film. The movie, which stars Scarlett Johansson as a woman with a super-powered brain, easily ousted the number two film - "Hercules." That film, which stars Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, took in 29 million dollars domestically, but also garnered more than 28 million internationally.
