With daylight, crews in Los Angeles got a better picture of the massive water main break from the day before. Millions of gallons of water spilled over the UCLA campus and area streets on Tuesday afternoon, forcing the university to evacuate and stranding drivers in underground garages. A giant geyser then -- and now -- a 15-foot sink-hole right under Sunset Blvd. Repairs could take days. SOUNDBITE: JEFF BRAY, LA DEPT. OF WATER AND POWER, saying: "Normally, a break of this size we would just go in and cut out a section of pipe and replace it real quick. But this is located where two large diameter pipes come together and it's creating a lot of complexity for us." And cleanup also continues on the UCLA campus. The school's basketball arena was newly renovated. Now, it, along with other sports facilities -- just waterlogged and severely damaged. SOUNDBITE: RIC COY, UCLA ATHLETICS, SAYING: "Just disaster, it's horrible, I'm looking at our track and field that we just got redone, our beautiful track and field that's completely under water. Not a way you want to start the school year." Some eight million gallons of water were lost. ..and while L.A. officials say the city has plenty of water, all this comes amid one of the worst droughts in California's history. .
