ROUGH CUT (NO NARRATION) Canadian reggae fusion band Magic! were virtually unknown in the US a year ago. Now, their debut single 'Rude' is dominating charts around the world, having hit the number 1 spot in the US and number 2 in the UK, Australia and New Zealand. The band, who are now LA-based, consists of singer Nasri Atweh, guitarist Mark Pellizzer, bassist Ben Spivak and drummer Alex Tanas. Their catchy track features Atweh asking a girlfriend's father, "Why you gotta be so rude? Don't you know I'm human too?" 'Rude' was co-written by fellow Canadian Adam Messinger, who was Atwen's partner in the production duo, The Messengers, a Grammy-winning partnership who prior to the formation of Magic! wrote and produced tracks for the likes of Chris Brown, New Kids on The Block, Justin Bieber and Shakira. 'Rude' is taken from Magic!'s debut album, 'Don't Kill The Magic' which charted at number 6 on the Billboard 200 Chart in the US.
