Hamas will pay heavily for more attacks, Israel says

Aug.3 - Israel said it would continue to fight even after the army completes destroying cross-border tunnels used by Palestinian fighters to attack its territory. Sarah Toms reports.

There's not much to cheer about here along the Gaza border.
These Israeli soldiers have heard local TV reporting that troops were withdrawing and winding down the offensive.
A signal that nearly all the tunnels of Hamas militants, that are used in raids, have been destroyed.
But as the sun rises over the Gaza Strip, Israeli troops maintain their positions.
Friday's fragile peace was shattered within hours after an ambush in which two Israeli soldiers were killed and an officer captured, who's now also believed dead.
Israel's Prime Minister said Hamas would pay an "intolerable price" for its attacks.
Shelling and air strikes continued over the weekend.
It's the people -- mostly children -- who've suffered the most.
More than 1600 Palestinians and dozens of Israeli soldiers have been killed in Israel's three week offensive.
The hospitals are overwhelmed with the dead and wounded.
