Bulldozers are clearing roads in southern California, where weekend thunderstorms dumped heavy rains that triggered massive landslides. Officials say at least one person was killed and thousands stranded. Rescue teams worked through the night. (SOUNDBITE) (English) CHIEF FIREMAN RYAN BECKERS, SAN BERNADINO COUNTY FIRE DEPARTMENT, SAYING: "We are just getting to the point where we can get in there and find people. So we could get reports throughout the night that people are injured and need help." The storms swept cars from roads and trapped residents in their homes. (SOUNDBITE) (English) TROY JAMISON, RESIDENT, SAYING: "I look out over into the window and I seen this wall of mud coming down over there and I told my kid hey you need to come down here and have a look at this. And it was raining so bad that that entire mountain slid down." The flash flood warnings are no longer in effect, but the damage left behind will likely affect residents for days to come.
