It's billed as the slowest two minutes in sport. Thirty babies and their parents are in New York for the coveted title of Diaper Derby champion. According to rules, every low-riding athlete is wearing a race-provided onesie. Another rule is that standing or walking is prohibited. But the best part of the race is that there are no sore losers at the end according to organizer John Korff. SOUNDBITE: John Korff, Event Organizer, saying (English) "Nobody goes home crying for any reason other than it's time to cry; it's nap time. So this is a lot of fun." Definitely laughing at the end is John Herrold whose son Liam was the fastest crawler of them all. SOUNDBITE: John Herrold, Father Of Winning Baby, saying (English) "He's been working on it for a year now. He has been working on his training. He pushes furniture around the apartment to build his leg strength." So what's next for these speedsters? Since most of them will soon outgrow the sport of competitive crawling, potty training is likely the next challenge.
