Two dozen people sit in mid-air on a stuck roller coaster at a Six Flags in Marlboro, Maryland. The Prince George's Country Fire Department is working to rescue those trapped on the ride one by one. A spokesperson for Six Flags said the ride, known as the "Joker's Jinx" roller coaster, came to a stop on its tracks some 45 feet above ground. The amusement park says the riders are secure, and that a computerized safety system can sometimes lead to these "stoppages." But still no official indication as to how the roller coaster got stuck. The park says it plans to conduct a full investigation before the roller coaster resumes operation. No injuries have been reported so far.
