ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION) STORY: Pop superstar Lady Gaga arrived at Narita International Airport, near Tokyo, on Tuesday (August 12) to kick off the Asian leg of her world tour, artRave: The ARTPOP Ball. The American singer, who is estimated to have earned $80 million last year, is performing in Tokyo this Wednesday (August 13) and Thursday (August 14). She will then play one concert in Seoul, South Korea, on Saturday (August 16) before heading Down Under to continue the tour. Gaga, who is known for her outrageous stunts and provocative costumes, wore a see-through glittery bodysuit, towering white lace-up boots and long white dreadlocks for her Tokyo touchdown. Carrying a small toy dog in her hand as a substitute for her pet, Asia, who was not allowed into Japan for quarantine reasons, she stopped to speak to fans, many of whom had also dressed up for the occasion in the style of their idol. When asked her reaction to news of the death of well-loved American actor Robin Williams, announced on Monday evening (GMT - August 11), Lady Gaga did not comment. She instead chose to express gratitude to her Japanese fans by delivering a message to them in both Japanese and English. "I love you Japan, it's Lady Gaga," she said. The star posted a tribute to the actor on social network Twitter on Tuesday (August 12). She wrote that she hoped that people would take depression more seriously in light of the tragedy of death. This tour is to promote Gaga's third studio album, Artpop, which was released in November 2013 and reached number one in both the US and the UK.
