Flowers were placed on the Walk of Fame star of Lauren Bacall on Wednesday (August 13), as Hollywood mourned the loss of another screen legend. The husky voiced actress died on Tuesday (August 12) reportedly of a stroke. Bacall was a superstar of Hollywood's golden age, gaining fame for her acting credentials and for marrying another legendary star, Humphrey Bogart. Although she never won an Oscar, Bacall was awarded an honorary one in 2010 for her career achievement. She was 89.
Justin Bieber has pleaded guilty to misdemeanor careless driving and resisting arrest charges - stemming from his Miami arrest earlier this year. The singer worked a deal out with prosecutors that includes mandatory anger management classes, a charitable donation and court fees - and avoids any jail time and or driving under the influence charges.
Celine Dion has put her show business career on hold indefinitely, canceling her Las Vegas show and a planned fall tour of Asia. The singer released a statement saying she needed to focus on the health of both her husband and herself - Dion's husband, Rene Angelil, had surgery in December to remove a cancerous tumor, and Dion has been fighting an illness that has caused inflammation in her throat muscles. The cancellation affects concerts that were booked through March 2015.
