ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION) STORY: The latest spring and summer designs wooed crowds from the runway during Buenos Aires Fashion Week on Thursday (August 14). Throngs of fashionistas came out for the annual event held in the La Rural exhibition centre in the Argentine capital. Designer Antonella Lamanga's new 'Kybalion' line was set to impress with a playful mix of geometrical shapes inspired by optical art and the transmutability of perception. Kostume's spring and summer collection graced the catwalk with an eclectic fusion of silks, knitwear and plastic accessories. Designer Emiliano Blanco said the new Kostume line was a tribute to futuristic space styles from the 60s combined with 70s era safari fashion. Benito Fernandez, from the label bearing his name, Benito, said his new collection is geared towards the easy-going, urban woman. More than 20 collections from national and international designers have been featured throughout the four days of South American fashion that wraps up on Friday (August 15).
