Police say this video shows Michael Brown robbing a convenience store moments before he was shot and killed by police.
Authorities allege the 18 year old stole cigars from the store and grabbed a clerk trying to confront him.
Minutes later, an officer encountered Brown walking down the street.
Police have identified that officer who shot and killed the unarmed teen as Darren Wilson of the Ferguson Police Department.
SOUNDBITE: FERGUSON POLICE CHIEF THOMAS JACKSON, SAYING:
"He's been a police officer for six years. He's had no disciplinary actions against him."
Police released Wilson's name nearly a week after the shooting.
Authorities say they waited this long because they feared for his safety.
The deadly shooting sparked days of racially charged protests and riots in Ferguson.
SOUNDBITE: GERALD HARRIS, FERGUSON RESIDENT, SAYING:
"The cover up and everything else doesn't justify why a man can lay on the ground and get shot down like an animal."
Calm returned to the streets Thursday night after Highway Patrol Captain Ron Johnson took over when the governor stripped local police of their duty.
