Police say 39-year-old Stephen Howells and his girlfriend 25-year-old Nicole Vaisey were looking for easy targets and may have been planning to abduct more children. They believe the couple lured the two Amish sisters into their car using coercion tactics. Authorities say the girls were sexually abused. SOUNDBITE: ST. LAWRENCE COUNTY SHERIFF KEVIN WELLS, SAYING: "The motive was to take them from their home and victimize these girls." The two sisters, 12-year-old Fannie Miller and 7-year-old Delila were abducted from their family's roadside farm stand in upstate New York. They were found a day later after reappearing on a neighbors doorstep. SOUNDBITE: ST. LAWRENCE COUNTY SHERIFF KEVIN WELLS, SAYING: "They were dropped off by their captors. The fact that they were able to verbalize to the investigators different facts about their time in captivity, with those details, instrumental in us to make the arrests." Police are searching the home of the suspects. The couple is being held without bond charged with first degree kidnapping.
