French director Luc Besson has praised Scarlett Johansson for her performance as a blonde with a super-powered brain in his new film 'Lucy'. SOUNDBITE, Luc Besson, director, saying (English): "I was very happy with the first meeting because she was on time (laughs), she has no make-up and she has no entourage, so she comes as a decent person and it was just about meeting and talking about the subject." The film, which cost just 40 million dollars to make, has already turned a profit, having taken more than $128 million worldwide, according to Screen Daily -- and thats' with up to 44 territories yet to release it. Besson is promoting the film in Taiwan where part of the movie was shot He's best known for action films like The Fifth Element, but said the choice of a story about brain capacity was a deliberate attempt to 'mix philosophical content with fun'. SOUNDBITE, Luc Besson, director, saying (English): "I'm a movie goer also and I am 50 years old now. I am not a 16-year-old movie goer, and I love action film and thriller and all this but I need content now, I need more, you know if it's just an action film I get bored after an hour even if it's really well done." Lucy is released in the United Kingdom on August 22nd.
