Dr. Kent Brantly, the American missionary who contracted the Ebola virus while treating patients in Liberia, has recovered and will be discharged from the hospital on Thursday. Brantly arrived at Atlanta's Emory University Hospital nearly three weeks ago. The doctor wearing a protective suit was able to walk on his own after stepping out of the ambulance. Brantly is expected to make a statement before leaving the hospital Thursday morning. Emory will also give an update on Nancy Writebol's condition, the other American missionary being treated in the hospital's isolation unit.
