Political pageantry turns to pandemonium in Bolivia.
Chaos broke out at the launch of the Democratic Unity party's presidential campaign when rival soccer fans in attendance, began fighting and hurling chairs at each other.
The clash between fans of Oriente Petrolero and Blooming forced many to flee.
(SOUNDBITE) (Spanish) UNNAMED WITNESS, SAYING:
"All of this happened. They started to insult each other, they threw chairs, flares and everything else."
The Democratic Unity party's Samuel Doria Medina blamed the violence on his socialist party rival and President Evo Morales, accusing him of orchestrating the fight.
The country heads to the polls on October 12 with Morales in the lead.
There were no immediate reports of injuries.
