ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION)
Heavy rains caused major flooding around Chicago on Friday (August 22) morning, prompting flash flood warnings and numerous road closures.
Floods surrounded homes and cars throughout the city, particularly in places like Stone Park just west of Chicago.
The weather caused traffic to slow to a crawl as cars waded through flooded underpasses on the I-290 Eisenhower Expressway.
In suburban Burbank, residents woke up to find the water up to the bumpers of cars.
The Chicago Transit Area suspended service on one of its "L" train lines, according to local media.
