In an interview with Reuters Insider, WPP chief, Martin Sorrell spoke about how the company has been 'ravaged by a strong sterling which he describes as a 'translation loss' rather than a 'fundamental hit'. He also gave his view on where he sees UK interest rates in the medium term. And on Russia, Sorrell spoke of how the business had performed strongly in the first half of the year but he voiced his concerns over the Russia-Ukraine conflict, which he said had replaced the eurozone as the major geopolitical concern for clients.
