British man reunited with daughters missing in Thailand for three months

Emotions run high as a British dad thanks Thai police for helping find his missing daughters. Katie Sargent reports.

British father Robert Day was all smiles as he arrived at a police station in Thailand's Chonburi, Province.
He and his girlfriend were there to thank police for their help in reuniting him with his two daughters, who were allegedly were abducted by their Thai mother in June.
He became choked with emotion as he recalled what it's been like for the past three months.
5. (SOUNDBITE) (English) 38-YEAR-OLD BRITON, ROBERT DAY, SAYING:
"You don't know…so, so much pain, you know. I've looked after my children all their life, you know, to get them back is just wonderful. It's…you know. Don't want to lose my girls, my girls are my world."
Day was granted full custody of eleven year old Ananya and six year old Aleena following a divorce and has been raising them in England.
He brought them to Thailand to see their during the school holidays. But she failed to return them as scheduled.
Police eventually found them with their mother in Bangkok. She was arrested but has not yet been charged with any offence.
11. (SOUNDBITE) (Thai) COMMANDER-IN-CHIEF OF PROVINCIAL POLICE REGION 2, SANIT MAHATHAVORN, SAYING:
"We would have to consider the facts surrounding this case in order to be fair, so that it doesn't generate a feeling that we're overdoing with the law which could become a problem because she (the children's mother) is not the bad guy."
The girls were reunited with their father last week and have been enjoying time with him since.
6. (SOUNDBITE) (English) 11-YEAR OLD ANANYA DAY SAYING:
"Yes it feels quite good. I have some fun here with my dad."
Day says they're planning to return to England next week..
