Students in Kabul walk free after being trapped during an attack on their university. At least 12 people, including seven students, were killed on Wednesday night by suspected militants. The attack started with a car bomb followed by gunfire, as the attackers battled their way into the university complex. Survivors have recounted the ordeal...some found places to hide, other leapt from windows trying to escape. "The insurgents threw hand grenades at us," this student says. "We covered ourselves under the desks" before jumping from the second floor. Some of the wounded are in a critical condition, hospital officials have said. This is the second time the American University in Kabul has been targeted this month. The Afghan Taliban and a local offshoot of Islamic State have claimed a series of recent bomb attacks. There's been no immediate claim of responsibility for this one.
