ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION) Firefighters in New York responded Wednesday afternoon (August 28) to a barge fire on the Hutchinson River. The barge was full of crushed cars and scrap metal. It's unknown how the fire was started. Mount Vernon firefighters and the Fire Department of New York were on scene as the river sits between the Bronx and Mount Vernon. Local media reported that there were no injuries and no structural damage.
