Big California waves to last through Labor Day weekend

Huge surf from Hurricane Marie expected to entertain beach goers through the Labor Day weekend. Linda So reports.

It's every surfers dream come true. Some of the biggest waves of the decade at California's Newport Beach. The ten to 20-foot waves fueled by Hurricane Marie drawing quite a crowd. SOUNDBITE: SANDRA GAMEZ, SPECTATOR, SAYING: "Of course, it's all over the news about the big waves that are happening here at Newport Beach so kinda amazing to see those huge waves." The high surf is expected to linger through the Labor Day weekend, kicking up large swells and dangerous rip currents. SOUNDBITE: SHERI BONE, SPECTATOR, SAYING: "Pretty crazy I'm amazed that there are that many people out there in the water." Surfers racing to catch the massive waves before they roll out of the Southern California coastline.
