Over the course of seven days over 300 designers will showcase their Summer/Spring 2015 collections to fashion lovers, buyers and critics during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in New York.
Lincoln Center will host the event for the ninth season and it takes organizers more than three weeks to build the iconic tents.
Seventy-one brands, including two from the BCBG Max Azria Group, will present their new lines.
Azria, who calls the week the "super bowl of fashion," said they start working nine months in advance.
SOUNDBITE: Lubov Azria, fashion designer, saying (English):
"We start doing color, concepts and then it's sort of, you know, it has to come together organically. There is nothing that can be forced in fashion otherwise it looks like its forced. It looks like you're trying too hard. And I think the best collections are the ones that look very effortless, that just come together like nature does."
Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in New York will run from September 4th until September 11th.
