Mirror, mirror on the wall, who's the fittest of them all?
Just one of the questions you can ask Toshiba's new smart tv - which doubles up as a bathroom mirror.
Sasche Lange is the Japanese firm's Director of Consumer Products.
(SOUNDBITE) (German) DIRECTOR CONSUMER PRODUCTS AT TOSHIBA, SASCHA LANGE, SAYING:
"It is a mirror TV, which can of course also show films, you can watch television on it but you also have many other things on it for example it can greet you in the morning. If you have such a digital watch, then the digital watch send data, so body mass data to the TV so you can see how many calories you used yesterday, how many steps you took, what fitness you have to do today. The TV can tell you in the morning by looking in the mirror what the weather will be and what meetings you have."
TVs of all shapes and sizes are top attractions at this year's IFA electronics fair in Berlin, says the show's Head Jens Heithecker.
(SOUNDBITE) (English) HEAD OF THE IFA CONSUMER TECHNOLOGY FAIR, JENS HEITHECKER, SAYING:
"There are many basic trends in the market. Of course if you consider the trends in the TV market it's UHD, the ultra high definition TV sets, of course it's the curve TV, brand new on the market and each of the big manufacturers will present their own curve TV. And overall it's a connected world, connectivity is a big trend for everyone in the market."
Multi-connections are the key, says Bettina Joensson from Woox Innovations.
(SOUNDBITE) (German) BETTINA JOENSSON FROM WOOX INNOVATIONS/PHILIPS AUDIO, SAYING:
"We have a Spotify Connect Speaker, where you can stream music through the Spotify App. You can see this behind me. We also have various Bluetooth solutions for multi-pairing, by this I mean you can connect several Bluetooth devices at the same time and also play music."
The event - much like the tvs - has come a long way since the first one 90 years.
This year there are more than 1500 exhibitors from around the globe.
