ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION) Vice President Joe Biden help lit the National Menorah on the ellipse in front of the White House to mark the start of Hanukkah. The ceremony marks the 35th anniversary of the first lighting of the National Menorah in Washington, D.C. "Tonight is about miracles. The miracle of courageous warriors overcoming great odds to preserve the culture, the identity and the freedom of a people," Biden said. Other cities across the country are also celebrating lightings of public menorahs to mark the start of the eight-day holiday which begins at sundown Tuesday.
