Officers patrol the Berlin railway after authorities received warnings of militant attacks, just one week after attacks in France left 17 dead. Gavino Garay reports.

A heightened state of security at German railway stations. Officers patrol the rails after authorities received warnings of possible militant attacks. Der Spiegel reported that intelligence services intercepted information from jihadist groups. For some passengers, there's nothing they can do. (SOUNDBITE) (German) PASSENGER, LOTTE HARTMANN, SAYING: "How (should I feel safe), if single individuals are doing it? How can I feel safe? I go about exactly as I did before." Others aren't deterred. (SOUNDBITE) (German) PASSENGER, FRANK PIWECKI, SAYING: "No, I am not afraid. If you are afraid, then they have won. This is what we do: we continue living as before. I have no problem with that." The warnings come on the heels of an Islamist militant attack that killed 17 in France last week.. leaving Europe on edge. The German Interior Ministry offered no detail on any specific threat.
