Clashes break out during a protest against an anti-Islam movement known as PEGIDA in Frankfurt. Protesters, numbering around 1200, throw eggs at Heidi Mund, an organizer in the anti-Islam movement. Protester Marc Preuss says religion shouldn't make people targets. (SOUNDBITE) (German) ANTI-PEGIDA PROTESTER, MARC PREUSS, SAYING: "I am here to say that Frankfurt is a city that is open to the world, that there is no room here for an ideology that pits itself against any religion." PEGIDA, an acronym for Patriotic Europeans Against the Islamization of the West, gained traction when it first staged rallies that brought some 25,000 to the streets of Dresden. Some of it's founders dropped out to form rival groups that jeopardize the movement's strength.. now further complicated by such anti-PEGIDA outcry.
