They wait in the train station in Slaviansk-- refugees from the war in eastern Ukraine. Many do not know what's next. Tents have been set up offering help to those who left everything behind. They face a future with no certainty. (SOUNDBITE) (Russian) UKRAINIAN REFUGEE FROM POPASNA, SVETLANA, SAYING: "We came here the day before yesterday. Our town is destroyed. We were left without a home. Without work. We got away to here. We rent a room from a grandmother. There's no money, and we have a child with us. We don't know what to do now and and where to go further. What to do? They should find an agreement and stop this war. We are already desperate." They are fed. A brief time to remember what once was. A slice of life of the nearly one million people displaced in the conflict. With no where else to go, many are now living on trains. They are going through the motions of everyday life. (SOUNDBITE) (Russian) UKRAINIAN REFUGEE FROM DEBALTSEVE, ELDAR, SAYING: "They don't have sympathy for anyone. They only want land. What else do they want here? To create a buffer zone here, and for the sake of this buffer zone, they have mutilated innocent people. What kind of brotherly nation is that?" Another round of meetings has been set for later this week to resolve the crisis that has already killed more than 5,000 people.
