ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION) U.S. President Barack Obama signed the Clay Hunt Suicide Prevention for American Veterans Act into law, Thursday (February 12) at the White House. The bill is named after a Marine who committed suicide in 2011, suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) after serving in Iraq and Afghanistan. "For many of them, the war goes on," Obama said. Obama says the bill will help veterans transition from active duty to "home" and provides them with mental health services. "It helps fill critical gaps in serving veterans with post-traumatic stress and other illnesses," Obama said.
