Four men are under arrest in Spain, suspected of using social media to recruit for violent groups like Islamic State. The Interior Ministry says two of the men were arrested in the Spanish North African enclave Melilla. They say the men ran web pages promoting the causes of various groups, especially Islamic State. The are accused of organizing meetings where they allegedly showed videos and material from IS. The other two suspects were arrested in Barcelona and Girona for posting pro-jihadist material on Facebook. Spain, like other European countries, has stepped up efforts to prevent the radicalization of its citizens following last month's deadly attack on Charlie Hebdo, the satirical newspaper in Paris.
