In his Iowa debut as a potential presidential candidate, former Florida Governor Jeb Bush stopped by this pizza parlor in Cedar Rapids to mingle with everyday Iowans. What brought him here? The Iowa Agriculture Summit in Des Moines. And he jumped right in, answering how he'd reign in top-down driven regulatory systems: (SOUNDBITE) (English) FORMER FLORIDA GOVERNOR JEB BUSH, SAYING: "The first thing you do is, you change presidents." A mix of prospective presidential candidates were on the scene, like Chris Christie, Rick Perry and Ted Cruz -- all potential competitors to Bush. And it wasn't all agriculture talk... the presidential hopeful brought up nationwide concerns, like immigration reform. (SOUNDBITE) (English) FORMER FLORIDA GOVERNOR JEB BUSH, SAYING: "If we want to be young and dynamic, and growing again where the debate isn't, who's taking from whom, rather than have an expanding pie where opportunities exist for all of us, I think we need to fix this broken immigration system." Supporting a comprehensive immigration overhaul is pitting Bush against a popular Republican stance... but won applause in Iowa -- where farmers and ranchers say an immigrant workforce is vital.
