A Syrian army helicopter is caught on video plummeting to the ground. Amateur video Reuters cannot independently verify purports to show the aftermath of the crash with the damaged helicopter, and anti-government rebels scouring through the remains. A human rights monitoring group says at least four of a six-man crew were taken hostage by al Qaeda offshoot, the Nusra Front. Syrian television reports said the helicopter experienced technical problems and was forced to make an emergency landing -- and was not shot down, as claimed by rebels. The UN says the Syrian air force uses helicopters to drop barrel bombs in residential areas, which Syrian President Bashar al-Assad denies.
