The Libyan coast guard escorts five boat loads of illegal migrants to port at Misrata. The boats were carrying some 550 migrants, most of them fleeing poverty and conflict in African countries. Libya's coast guard intercepted them en route and has detained those on board. Some of the migrants were clearly distressed. (SOUNDBITE)(English) AMINA AHMAD, MIGRANT, SAYING: "We are suffering, can't you see? Look at (us), look at (us), we are risking our lives. Now that's not when we are happy, to be like this. We are suffering, can't you see, we are suffering. We are suffering, you people just have to see our pain." In a separate operation the only private vessel working in the Mediterranean to save migrants making the treacherous crossing has rescued 369 off the coast of Malta. The Migrant Offshore Aid Station ship is expected to hand the rescued migrants over to Italian authorities. They're among some 4, 800 migrants saved at sea over the weekend who were being brought ashore at several Italian ports.
