ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION) STORY: British and Commonwealth Armed Forces and Veterans paraded through the streets of London on Sunday (May 10), to commemorate the 70th anniversary of Victory in Europe Day (VE Day), which marks the end of the Second World War. Cheering crowds lined the route from Parliament Square, near the Palace of Westminster, to its culmination at Horse Guards Parade where Britain's Prince Charles and his wife Camilla greeted the veterans. A Battle of Britain memorial flight, comprising of one Spitfire and two Hurricane planes, flew overhead followed by the Royal Air Force's aerobatic team The Red Arrows trailing smoke in the color of the Union flag. Earlier in the day, Queen Elizabeth, who was a young princess on VE day in 1945, attended a service of thanksgiving at Westminster Abbey.
