ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION) The finishing touches were being applied up and down the Croisette on Monday (May 11) ahead of the start of the 68th Cannes Film Festival, which this year pays tribute to actress Ingrid Bergman, who would have turned 100 this year and whose daughter Isabella Rossellini will preside over one of the juries. Bergman, who starred alongside Humphrey Bogart in the beloved classic "Casablanca", graces the official poster for this year's festival. The stage is nearly set for the 12-day pageant described by film industry insiders like Andrea Ziarno as "the place to be". Nineteen films will compete for the coveted Palme d'Or, which will be handed out along with other prizes at the end of the festival on May 24. Festival general delegate Thierry Fremeaux told a news conference that 1,854 films had been submitted for selection for the May 13-24 extravaganza.
