Their guilty plea came just hours before potential jurors were to receive questionnaires in preparation for their June 1 trial. Two Swedish citizens and a former British citizen pleaded guilty to one conspiracy count on Tuesday, rather than facing trial on multiple U.S. terrorism charges... alleging they provided material support to the Islamic al Shabaab militant group in Somalia. Prosecutors said the three men -- Madhi Hashi, Ali Yasin Ahmed and Mohamed Yusuf -- engaged in weapons and explosives training from 2008 to 2012 with members of the al Qaeda-allied group and agreed to support its agenda. The plea deal will spare the men 30-years-to-life in prison they faced if convicted on all of the charges against them. Instead, they'll face a maximum term of 15 years in prison when the judge sentences them on Sept. 25.
