ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION) U.S. President Barack Obama welcomed the San Francisco Giants to the White House on Thursday (June 4) and congratulated them on their World Series win of last year. It was the eighth World Series title for the Giants and their third win in five seasons, after victories in 2010 and 2012, to which Obama acknowledged, "I continue to hold out hope that my White Sox can turn it around. But all that parody seems to wipe away whenever the Giants make the playoffs." Obama was presented with a baseball, a jersey and a signed base from the team -- even though he is known to support his home team, the Chicago White Sox.
