Residents of Sanaa's ancient Old City say the strikes started around 3 am on Friday... then came the screams, they say, as people called for help. The raid destroyed parts of this U.N.-designated World Heritage Site, inhabited for some 3,000 years and now controlled by Yemen's dominant Houthis. The Old City is punctuated by unique brown and white residential 'tower-homes', mosques and bathhouses. UNESCO condemned the bombing, saying historical sites ACROSS the country have all suffered since the start of the Yemen conflict. The state news agency says at least six people were killed and several others injured in these latest strikes, which have gone on now for nearly three months. ... part of a Gulf-coalition effort to dislodge the Houthis from power and reinstate the exiled president.
