ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION) U.S. President Barack Obama is making another push for a free trade deal he wants to finalize before leaving office. "We still got more work to do and one of the things we should be doing, for example, is re-writing the rules of global trade to benefit American workers and American businesses. I think we should write those rules before China does," Obama said in his weekly address on Saturday (June 20). Obama's goal with a new trade deal is to bolster U.S. ties with Asia through a 12-nation Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP), the economic element of a foreign policy shift aimed in part at countering the rising influence of China.
