Toyota's former chief communications officer is driven away from a police station in Tokyo after her spell in police custody. Julie Hamp was arrested in June on suspicion of illegally importing the painkiller Oxycodone into Japan. As Hamp was freed on Wednesday the Tokyo District Public Prosecutor's Office announced she wouldn't be charged. That means she's now free to leave the country. Hamp, who's a U.S. national, left Toyota just a month after relocating to Tokyo. The company has apologised for the incident. She was arrested on June 18th after customs officers found the painkiller tablets in a parcel shipped to her from the U.S. Hamp said she didn't think she'd imported an illegal substance, according to police.
