Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton says she neither sent, nor received, any classified information in her private email account. An inspector general for U.S. intelligence agencies told members of Congress in a letter last week that she did. But Clinton denied those reports at a weekend campaign stop in Iowa. (SOUNDBITE) (English) DEMOCRATIC PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE, HILLARY CLINTON, SAYING: "I think there is so much confusion around this that I understand why reporters and the public are you know asking questions. But the facts are pretty clear. I did not send nor receive anything that was classified at the time." The inspector sampled 40 of about 30,000 emails that flowed through Clinton's personal account while she was secretary of state. He found at least four that had information the government had classified as secret. The Justice Department says it hasn't decided whether to open a formal investigation. The email controversy has dogged Clinton's bid for the presidency, fueling worries that she tried to sidestep transparency and record-keeping laws.
