It's been dubbed the rowdiest, most famous beer festival in the world -- Oktoberfest. And on Saturday, it kicked off for its 182nd year in the German city of Munich. That was Munich Mayor Dieter Reiter tapping the first keg -- and wishing everyone a peaceful festival. He says this year has special significance, as the city -- along with the rest of Europe -- struggles to cope with the migrant crisis. (SOUNDBITE) (German) MUNICH MAYOR DIETER REITER SAYING: "We want to show that both things are possible in Munich: to emotionally deal with the migrant crisis, but at the same time to be able to party." More than six million people are expected at this year's Oktoberfest...around 20 percent from abroad. And they're expected to consume an estimated seven million liters of beer. Decked out in traditional Bavarian dress -- Lederhosen for men and Dirndls for women -- These beer enthusiasts have until October 4th to indulge in the fun.
